These libraries will automatically download and install themselves the next time you launch your instances, there's nothing you need to do. While the patches that Mojang applied to their own launcher, and were applied in our previous launcher updates will fix the issue, these fixes provide a complete fix to the issue and leave no doubt that there are any more issues going forward (at least for the issues that we know of today). Minecraft 1.12 and onwards uses an updated version of Log4J with the vulnerabilities fixed (version 2.16.0) Minecraft 1.7 to 1.11.2 now uses a patched version of Log4J (version 2.0-beta-9-fixed)

So go check out the Modrinth tab in the Packs section of the launcher today and maybe find something new to play. While this is in an Alpha state, everything looks pretty promising so far, and we can't wait to see more awesome packs up there soon. ATLauncher has support for both exporting instances to the Modrinth format ready for uploading to Modrinth, as well as downloading and installing pre made packs. Modrinth Modpacks have now launched in an Alpha state.įor those not aware, Modrinth is a mod (and now modpack) platform as an alternative to CurseForge. If you see any issues downloading CurseForge modpacks or mods, please reach out in our Discord.

This change has taken effect as of today and will mean some changes for the way you download modpacks from CurseForge.Īny modpacks which include mods that have disabled third parties from downloading them will require extra steps to manually download those mods via your browser in order to complete the installation process.Ī similar process will be involved for any mods added to instances from CurseForge also. This meant that any mod on CurseForge can choose to turn off distribution of their mods to all third party clients. Projects on CurseForge would have the ability to decide if third parties are able to download their projects. When CurseForge announced that an official api was coming for third parties to use, there was a caveat. This may just be a bug, but more than likely it's intentional and you'll no longer be able to login to online servers with Mojang accounts going forward.ĬurseForge Modpacks Project Distribution Toggle It seems as though Microsoft has pulled the support for Mojang accounts and in order to play on online servers now, you must migrate your account to a Microsoft account as the legacy api's used for session management within the game no longer are working.
